“Our son Adrian went through 4-month preparation sessions for SSAT test. Every Saturday starting in May through the end of October (with break for summer) he attended 3 hour sessions at Young & Eglinton location. There were only 2 other kids at these sessions, so Adrian received lots of individual attention. At the end of each week we would receive a progress report stating how our son was doing overall and if there were any areas he needed to practice more at home. In addition to these there were 2 mock up exams at the end of June and October. In November all students received very valuable interview prep session during which they got to practice answering interview questions with the senior employee from Google, who actually interviews people for jobs. Overall I am very happy with the attention and efforts Debbie personally put into this process.”

"We used Young Scholar Prep to help our son prepare for the Middle Level SSAT for entrance into Grade 7.  Our son attended Young Scholar's Extended SSAT Prep class.  We found the class to be excellent preparation for our son.  His teacher was familiar with the content of the SSAT and was able to fill in any content gaps that may have existed with my son's familiarly with the SSAT material.  Moreover, they spent considerable time teaching my son strategies for taking a standardized test.  As you can imagine, it is quite a challenge to teach a 11 year old the often non-intuitive test strategies of a standardized test.  We also found the session they held for interview preparation to be value add and comprehensive.  Debbie Singh was always accessible to us when we had concerns about our son's progress and was very flexible in help our son meet his objectives.  In the end, he was able to increase his score by 243 points on his scaled score over the time of the program and he met his test objectives.  We couldn't have done this without Young Scholar's prep!”

We heard horror stories about good students performing poorly on the SSAT due to lack of exposure to the question types. This course helped our daughter familiarize herself with all the question types while teaching her strategies that could have enduring value beyond the SSAT.
