Welcome to Young Scholars Prep Inc.
Young Scholars Prep Inc. specializes in effectively preparing students for entrance into private schools within Ontario. We offer the Lower Level, Middle Level and Upper Level SSAT exam preparation as well as interview and leadership courses and workshops.
We also offer Enriched English Courses ranging from grades 4-9. Our courses are designed to enhance reading, writing, thinking and speaking.
Here at Young Scholars Prep Inc. we assess each student individually in order to build a curriculum that works for them. We offer both in class and 1:1 tutoring. Our classes are kept small and do not surpass 7 students allowing more 1:1 time with instructors.

English Components:
We teach:
Essays - we prepare students for creative and persuasive essays.
Reading Comprehension - we focus on mindful reading which teaches students to be engaged and connected to reading materials.
Verbal - our program also improves a student’s understanding of the English language. We cover both, new vocabularies and analogies. It includes: root words and meanings, suffixes and prefixes, as well as build and enhanced vocabulary.
Math Strategies:
We teach:
Arithmetics, Algebra and Geometry - completing mental math using friendly numbers which is cognitively easier to manipulate.
Conversions - including: percent (25%), decimals (0.25) fractions (1/4) and ratios (1:4).
Estimations - using it to eliminate obvious incorrect answers on exams.
